The Team

I know I'm in Disneyland and I'm supposed to turn it off, but I heard something this morning that has stuck with me. There's this 70 year old guy that just completed the 7 summits. That's when you reach the peak of the 7 tallest mountains on each of the 7 continents . . . AND HE'S 70!!

But he talked about the tough points, when he really felt like packing it in. He called them "freak out" spots. There were times it was too hard, and he felt he didn't have what it took, all those kinds of overwhelming thoughts. Matt Lauer asked him,"how did you get through it?" And he said, "it was the team. Without the team I wouldn't have made it."

Wow! Isn't it funny that when I feel most overwhelmed that's when I start closing in and trying to go solo. This 70 year old mountain climber brought it to light. When it's tough, rely on the team!
